Bob Seger Joins the Eagles at Their First Concert Without Glenn Frey: Videos, Photos, Set List

The Eagles took the stage last (July 15) at the Classic West festival for their first full-length concert since Glenn Frey suddenly passed in 2016. Frey’s son Deacon and country star Vince Gill took over, as Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh offered a hits-filled evening at Dodger Stadium.

You can see photos from the show above, and see fan-shot videos (while they last) and the full set list below.

In addition to witnessing Gill and the younger Frey take lead vocals on seven tracks, the packed crowd at Dodger stadium were treated to a special guest spot by the elder Frey’s longtime friend Bob Seger, who sang “Heartache Tonight.”

The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan opened for the Eagles tonight; Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire appear in support of Fleetwood Mac tomorrow night. They’ll then return two weeks from now on July 29-30, as Classic East is held at New York’s Citi Field.

Two-day regular tickets range from $150-$950; there will be no single-day passes. The two-day “Classic Gold” VIP package goes for $1,750, and includes a floor ticket in rows 11-20, a gift bag, a lithograph and entrance through a special gate. Step up to the $2,000 level, and you receive everything in the “Classic Gold” package plus a parking spot, access to a VIP lounge and a seat in rows 6-10. All of that, plus a front row seat, would set you back $2,750.

Gill earlier performed on the Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles all-star country tribute record, and also appeared on Henley’s Cass County solo album.
