Jethro Tull Announces 50th Anniversary North American Tour

In recognition of a half-century since they were founded, Jethro Tull will return to the road Today, founder Ian Anderson announced “Ian Anderson Presents: Jethro Tull – 50th Anniversary Tour,” which will take place next year in venues across North America.

They’ll begin on May 30 at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix and conclude on Sept. 11 at New York’s Beacon Theatre. Jethro Tull will also play Europe throughout April and during breaks in the North American schedule. They are recommending that all attendees be in their seats five minutes prior to the announced starting time, adding, “Latecomers may not be admitted to their seats until a suitable gap in the performance.”

Anderson is the only founding member still in the band. According to the band’s website, the current lineup consists of Anderson, guitarist Florian Opahle, bassist David Goodier, keyboardist and orchestral conductor John O’Hara and drummer Scott Hammond.
